Again, you should address topics in order of importance. Highlight similarities between the results of your study and other well-respected studies, but do not be afraid to draw attention to differences.

Do not ignore ‘inconvenient’ results

It is important to explain (as far as you can) any unexpected findings, or any results that are not consistent with your answer. If you do not, the reviewer may assume that you have not noticed the problem. If you can offer no reasonable explanation for an inconsistent result, it is acceptable to say so. Do not be tempted into wild flights of fancy in order to justify an apparently inexplicable finding.
